Precision Castparts Corp. HR Assistant in Carson City, Nevada
Provides necessary support to the Human Resources Department. The major areas of focus will be general office and HR administrative tasks, benefits inquiries and other questions, New Hire Orientation, File and recordkeeping, and payroll assistance.
• General office responsibilities o Check requests and bill reconciliation o Filing – EE files o Record keeping o Bulletin Boards o Schedule meetings/appointments o Order office supplies and maintain inventory o Ensure that the supply cabinets are adequately stocked o Maintain coffee supplies and stations throughout the facility o Answer main reception line and greet guests at the door o Run errands as needed o Coordinate luncheons and business meetings upon requests
• Employee Assistance
o Assist employees with general 401K and insurance questions o Assist with enrolling employees in benefits o Assist employees with general policy questions when able or direct them to the appropriate person who can help them o Provide eligible employees with shoe and eye vouchers
• HR Assistance o Assist supervisors and Mfg. Administrators with HR issues o Enter PTO and VAC requests into Visibility o Correct labor errors in Timecard Administrator o Edit attendance studio occurrences upon Supervisor request o Assist with new employee orientation and new hire packet preparation o Assist with Performance Review process o Coordinate community involvement activities o Anniversary/Birthday recognitions o Assist with drug Screen/background checks/e-verify o Assist with pre-employment paperwork completion o Assist Operations Staff with events planning and meetings
• Must have and maintain a valid NV driver’s license and proof of insurance • A minimum of 6 months’ secretarial / administrative experience • Ability to perform administrative duties in support of a manufacturing facility. • Must have a customer service attitude to both internal and external customers. • Must be flexible and able to adjust to frequent interruptions. • Must be adaptable to changing priorities and concurrent assignments. • Must be able to organize tasks and work independently. • Must have the ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all levels, both inside and outside the company. • Computer experience with the ability to use Microsoft Office applications, internet browsers, and HRIS systems • The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
