Site Leader-Youth EnrichmentPart timeSalary i$11.78 - $11.99 hourlyiMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Must be at least 18 years old at the time of applicationHigh School diploma or equivalentTwo (2) years of experience working in recreation programsNote:i An equivalent combination of related training and experience may be consideredPossess and maintain a valid Nevada or "border state" driver's license, as defined by NRS 483Must have the ability to obtain First Aid and CPR certifications within the first three (3) months of employmentIncumbents may be required to obtain specific technical certifications, licenses and registrationsDesirable: Two (2) years as a group leader in a recreation day camp style program and/or any other youth enrichment related education, training, and work experienceKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Knowledge of the rules, regulations, policies, and operating procedures of the Recreation Division; rules and regulations governing the conduct and safety of persons using municipal recreational facilities, programs and equipment; purpose, use and benefits of municipal recreational activities; City policies and procedures; City safety rules and regulations, occupational hazards and safety precautions; basic computer applications involving word processing, data entry and standard report generation.i General understanding of the Open Schools-Open Doors Community Access Agreement with the Clark County School District.Ability to use initiative and independent judgment within established procedural guidelines; ability to supervise cash processes, ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously; communicate effectively verbally and in writing; effectively explain policies and procedures; establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.Skill in applying City policies and procedures; supervising and controlling recreation activities and participants; promoting a positive recreational environment and good personal behavior for program participants; coordinating the work of part-time recreation staff, providing training to newly hired staff, and delegating tasks and authority; promoting and enforcing safe work practices; safely operating and maintaining tools and specialized equipment.Duties:iUnder general supervision, primarily serves as direct on-site supervisor of part-time employees and program participants at a satellite youth enrichment program. Involves supporting special facilities and other youth recreational programs; assists guests and patrons, enforces rules, provides customer services, assures programs are delivered in a safe and secure manner; and performs related duties as assigned.iESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Oversees all day to day on-site functions during program operation; maintains quality assurance through the compliance to rules, regulations, policies, and procedures; serves as liaison between the Clark County School District on-site personnel and the department.Plans, coordinates, and schedules activities and services for youth enrichment programs to provide recreational opportunities in a safe, fun, healthy and inviting environment; recreation activities include sports and aquatics programs, athletic contests, sporting events, games, classes, youth enrichment programs, and wellness classes; promotes good relationships with neighborhood and community groups and other agencies; may provide outreach functions with schools, parents and general public to promote program activities and coordinate utilization of facilities.Responsible for the implementation and management of on-site cash handling procedures.i Registers and enrolls program participants, provides customer services and general information, and resolves problems and customer service inquiries within scope of authority.Supervises youth enrichment programs, facility and participants; monitors activities and enforces rules and safety standards; assists, supervises and coaches participants in various youth enri
