Microsoft Corporation Director of Sales Enablement, Support Services in Las Vegas, Nevada

The Support Services team is seeking a Director of Sales Enablement who will be responsible for the landing of strategic sales programs and driving Support Services sales with the field in the Americas. This Sales Enablement role will drive the landing of key sales programs, integration into the specific priority solution sales motions, and on-going management/support of several key business management processes. The role will work to change field and sales management behaviors to achieve Support Services revenue goals through enablement. This role is accountable for business performance related to programs launched in the field and overall integration of Support sales with the field.

The Director of Sales Enablement is critical to the success of field execution and will focus on the following areas:

  • Prioritize and land Support sales programs to exceed revenue targets with Area Sales Leadership

  • Partner closely with the product group (Offering and Delivery) teams to prioritize and drive programs/initiatives from a field execution perspective, to exceed fiscal revenue and Support sales key performance indicators.

  • Partner with field sales leadership, Support Services Specialists, Support Leads, and Sales Excellence teams to land Support sales motions at the area/subsidiary level

  • Identify field weaknesses and execution issues and coach area sales teams to jointly resolve critical execution issues. Ensure strong coordination and joint efforts with segment and specialist sales teams.

  • Provide business insights with high-level of influence across non-direct reporting teams.

  • Revenue Attainment- Support the field sales force to deliver Support Services revenue targets.

  • Sales, Business, and Compete Strategy

  • Provide input to develop the sales strategy and sales motions for Support sales

  • Coach the field sales leadership & sellers (Solution Specialists, other) in the application of the strategy and drive effectiveness of the motions

  • Competitive sales strategy - apply deep understanding from the field to help shape our competitive sales strategies and drive increased effectiveness in competitive opportunities globally

  • Support area execution plan

  • Partner with field stakeholder to influence area specific & targeted execution plans

  • Assess opportunities/challenges and develop action plans with area Support Services Sales lead, validated by regional stakeholders

  • Orchestrate action plans with regional stakeholders and area Support Services Sales leads

  • Leverage his/her deep understanding of sales, derived from experience, data, and market dynamics, to drive the relationship between offerings and sales motions to exceed Support Services revenue and key performance indicatorsGenerate input, feedback, and best practices from field stakeholders within Support Services sales. Drive awareness and re-use with other teams in the organization and across the sales stakeholders

  • Leverage resources and programs from other parts of the organization to support and drive pipeline creation, sales velocity and improvement of close rates

  • Demonstrate deep knowledge of the Enterprise selling ecosystem and preferred knowledge of Microsoft’s solutions


  • 10+ years of professional business experience and acumen

  • 7+ years of experience of tech industry experience

  • Proven track record of sales enablement experience, responsible for developing and creating processes that increased field seller capabilities

  • Strong change management skills to drive transformation and incubation/growth programs

  • Demonstrable practical experience in value selling. Understanding of the unique requirements professional Services brings to business management either from a Services Sales background or a Services Delivery background is preferred.

  • Use of business intelligence to drive action and achieve measurable business results that are beneficial to the field and the business, related to the core Business Management processes

  • Ability to think strategically and communicate effectively with all levels of management, with the capability to guide, educate and influence the thinking of senior decision-makers

  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results in an ambiguous and changing environment.

  • Proven success in collaborating across boundaries, driving toward a common goal and impacting and influencing others is a must.

  • LOCATION: Redmond, WA strongly preferred. Open to candidates anywhere in the US. Must be willing to frequently work within Pacific time zone business hours.
