MGM Resorts International Dispatcher - Fire Control Maintenance (Bellagio) in Las Vegas, Nevada

It is the primary responsibility of the Maintenance Dispatcher/Fire Control to receive and delegate all incoming Engineering calls and work requests with a sense of urgency, respond to fire alarms, and act as a main communication center for Property operations. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Property policies, practices, and procedures.

  • Answer all incoming calls concerning maintenance and repairs needed on Property and at off-site locations.

  • Input call details into the computer tracking system.

  • Assign work and message calls to Engineering employees.

  • Respond to the life safety system and fire alarm panel, locate the area of alarm and dispatch it to Engineering personnel to take action.

  • Record all personnel call-ins for the department.

  • Maintain the dispatch log of all activities performed throughout the day, including an accurate account of time and activities in emergency situations.

  • Perform all other job related duties as requested.

Required:

  • Minimum age of 21 years old.

  • At least 6 months of previous administrative experience.

  • At least 6 months of previous experience in high-end/high-volume customer service.

  • Previous experience with two-way radios and multi-line phones.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.

  • Professional appearance and demeanor.

  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.

Preferred:

  • Previous dispatch experience.

  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and HotSos.

  • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
