Blackstone Technology Group, an award winning technology consulting and staffing firm, is seeking a Engineering Technician I to join our team and work at our client site in Las Vegas, NV.Our client is a global communications, hosting, cloud and IT services company. They operate more than 55 data centers in North America, Europe and Asia and provide broadband, voice, video, data and managed services over a robust 250,000-route-mile U.S. fiber network and a 300,000-route-mile international transport network. Customer satisfaction and winning customer's continued business and loyalty is what helps make our company what it is today and positions us for success in the future.The Business Service Technician will install, maintain and repair a variety of major business communications systems including but not limited to Avaya, Shortel, Cisco etc.
Additionally we support B1, HSI and Centrex (Analog and digital).Required Qualifications:
  1. Relevant telephony experience totaling a minimum of 3 years working with B1, HSI, GPON and/or Centrex (analog and digital)
  2. Knowledge of basics in computer networking (Layer 1 and Layer 2)
  3. Proficient PC skills (Microsoft/Windows/Office)
  4. Ability to professionally communicate with our customers and fellow employees based upon our Unifying Principles
  5. Must have a valid Nevada Driver's License and a good driving record
  6. Must have high school diploma or equivalent
  7. Must be able to read and understand service orders
  8. Must be able to distinguish colors
  9. Must be able to work any shift and overtime as required
  10. Must be able to travel for business related training and/or work assignments
  • CCNA A+ Certification (Computer Competency)
  • N+ Certification (Skill Understanding)
  • Core Data - Networking 101-102
  • Hosted VoIP experience
  • Knowledge of PSAP, Avaya IPO (Basic up to 20 stations), Shortel (Basic up to 20 stations)
  • Basic PBX programming skills
