MGM Resorts International Internal Audit Intern in Las Vegas, Nevada

Las Vegas, Nevada

Range of Responsibility: Under the direction of others, performs compliance, financial, and operational audits, and special projects in accordance with the IIA’s International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing . May perform observations and walk-throughs, document examinations, analytical reviews, reconciliations, and other procedures to meet the objectives of the assignment. Develop an understanding of internal controls and their impact on related business processes, as well as exhibits strong verbal and written communication skills. Accountable for completing audit steps in a timely and accurate manner.

Other essential duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Assists in assessing compliance with governmental regulatory requirements, financial accounting standards, and company policies to ensure company assets are safeguarded.

  • Executes assigned audit procedures by reviewing transactions, documents, records, reports, and policies and procedures.

  • Advises senior auditor and/or supervisor of problems encountered in a timely manner.

  • Ensures that documentation obtained contains sufficient, competent, and relevant evidential matter to support the conclusions reached.

  • Collaborates with team members, contributing ideas/opinions and listens/responds to other team members’ views.

  • Maintains confidentiality of all Company information obtained in the normal course of an audit assignment.

  • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication and computer skills.

  • Works efficiently in a changing environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program from an accredited college or university, and within one year of graduation.
