Amentum JT4 Operations/Test Analyst Positions located in Las Vegas, Nevada in Las Vegas, Nevada

JT4 provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. We develop and maintain realistic integrated test and training environments, and prepare our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and air crews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.

JOB SUMMARY - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

JT4 is seeking entry level to senior level analysts for career opportunities in broad and diverse fields with career advancement. JT4 is the prime contractor delivering engineering and technical services to develop and test leading-edge technologies for our nation's aircraft weapon systems and aircrews across open air test ranges.

Analytical disciplines that align with on-going technical services include aeronautical, computer, digital signal processing, electrical engineering, RF (air and ground-based), statistical analysis, software, and telecommunication. All science, technology, engineering, and mathematical disciplines will be considered for employment opportunities.

Analysts will report on complex EW, RF, and communication protocol test articles, providing a comprehensive analysis on the operation, suitability, and sustainment of a variety of Department of Defense weapons and systems. Strong mathematical skills, logic, and the ability to rise and achieve successes will make you a solid candidate.

Opportunities exist at all JT4 operating locations including Nevada, Utah, Colorado, and California.

Responsibilities vary from entry level analytical problem-solving to leading teams in understanding and reporting complex technical solutions. Examples of job responsibilities include:

  1. Perform as an EW, RF, and/or Protocol Subject Matter Expert in a specialized area

  2. Analyze complex data sets, providing statistical computations and resolving data anomalies

  3. Provide graphical analysis and representations of large data sets

  4. Develop reports and briefings to outline success or failure of a test article and generate recommendations for future development

  5. Interface between instrumentation engineers and test customers to ensure that parametric data required is available for test data analysis and accurately reflects the system configuration and operational characteristics

  8. develop advanced data analysis techniques and use of new tools or products

  9. Provide detailed technical expertise on the test process, range environment, and test infrastructure capabilities

  10. Create and analyze pre-test predictions in order to design test events, develop ground or flight profiles, define data collection requirements, and create go/no-go criteria to meet complex test objectives

  11. Brief complex mission execution plans as well as direct test activities form control centers

REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL, AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Operations/Test Analyst I

Completion of technical training and 4 years of related experience; or an Associate's degree and 2 years of related experience or a related Bachelor's degree (engineering, math, computer science, or physics).

Operations/Test Analyst II

Technical training and 7 years of related experience; or an Associate's degree and 4 years of related experience; or a related Bachelor's degree (engineering, math, computer science, or physics) and 2 years of related experience; or a related Master's degree.

Operations/Test Analyst III

Completion of technical training and at least 10 years of related experience; or an Associate's degree and 7 years of related experience; or a related Bachelor's degree (engineering, math, computer science, or physics) and 4 years of related experience; or a related Master's degree and 2 years of related experience.

Operations/Test Analyst IV

Completion of technical training and at least 14 years of related experience; or an Associate's degree and 11 years of related experience; or a related Bachelor's degree (engineering, math, computer science, or physics) and 8 years of related experience; or a related Master's degree and 6 years of related experience.

Operations/Test Analyst V

Completion of technical training and at least 20 years of related experience; or an Associate's degree and 16 years of related experience; or a related Bachelor's degree (engineering, math, computer science, or physics) and 14 years of related experience; or a related Master's degree and 10 years of related experience.

The incumbent must understand concepts, principles, and practices of engineering and analysis to enable the employee to serve as a technical authority on projects relating to the specific programs. The position requires knowledge and skill sufficient to apply the latest developments in technology to solve problems in the specialty area. The incumbent must maintain excellent communications and analytical skills and working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs. Must qualify for and maintain a government security clearance and possess a valid state issued driver's license.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will have a technical degree focusing on science, technology, engineering, or mathematics. Former military or Government experience highly desired. Open-air RF or closed-loop protocol testing preferred for most positions. Some positions focus on Software Development and Testing.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This position involves work typical of an office environment with no unusual hazards. There is occasional lifting up to 20 pounds, constant sitting with occasional use of a computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, and constant mental alertness. Routine travel to remote Company work locations may be required.
