MGM Resorts International Manager Strategic Sourcing - Professional Services in Las Vegas, Nevada

The Sourcing Manager for Corporate Services will assist in the strategic sourcing activities for one or more of the following categories of spend, including but not limited to: Marketing Print (Large Format, ongoing collateral, forms, business cards, stationary, etc…), Financial (gift card, debit card, co-brand, bell/concierge/rev. share, company liquidation/auction/barter, handling contracts for our Philanthropic/Foundation division, photography, shredding/doc. Archive, company sustainability programs, company aviation needs, etc… ) ensuring the Company acquires goods and services at the best total value. The Sourcing Manager will negotiate supplier contracts, monitor compliance and performance, and support program implementation. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and MGM Resorts International policies, practices and procedures.

  • A good understanding of print categories and human resource employee benefit functions as outlined in summary.

  • Partner with key stakeholders to identify new sourcing projects and comprehensive scopes of work to drive spend under management/compliance and increase value to company.

  • May require research of market and suppliers to identify market trends for opportunities to reduce or avoid cost.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and other resources to identify new and diverse suppliers.

  • Develop and issue comprehensive Request for Proposals/Information/Quotes.

  • Data interpretation and analysis of information obtained and concluded.

  • Conduct in-depth financial and spend analysis to identify trends and discrepancies.

  • Look for ongoing process improvements to drive additional revenue or savings.

  • Ability to summarize findings, justified recommendations and key points to Sr. Leadership to obtain buy-in.

  • Establish a team, as needed, to score RFP’s and select successful participants to present to senior management.

  • Negotiate, write, and execute contracts, including ability to collaborate with suppliers, stakeholders, Corporate Legal, Risk Management and other departments as required.

  • Effective communication and writing skills, including ability to draft pointed Executive Summaries and Reports to secure senior management’s approval.

  • Collaborate with Project Management team to develop and execute project implementation plans to ensure successful program roll-outs, increased compliance, and risk mitigation.

  • Participate cross-functional project teams to ensure successful project objectives, launch, implementation and compliance.

  • Provide Quarterly Business Reviews with stakeholders, analytics, project management, and suppliers to ensure compliance, customer satisfaction and contractual obligations.

  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field; or equivalent education and work experience.

  • A total of three (3) years of experience in the following:

  • At least Three (3) years of strategic sourcing experience.

  • At least Three (3) years finance, accounting and basic contracting laws.

Preferred:

  • Financial / credit card, card services functionality (network or issuer)

  • Sustainability and Document Destruction/Archive

  • Philanthropic / Company-wide Corporate Social Responsibility Programs / Employee Emergency Assistance

  • Prior supervisory experience.

  • Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) (or other professional certification).
