Project:

Supporting customer needs within their space at our client's data center locations. This includes troubleshooting hardware alarms with Servers and network devices, cabling issues, and basic power connectivity. This team provides customer service and customer

Role:

Providing support for customer requests and issues. This position as a Network Infrastructure tech is a part of the Network Operations team that deals with everything networking internally for our client's network and customer facing as well. This position is responsible for entering tickets in their proprietary ticketing system, documenting, and closing out when the task has been completed. The position includes troubleshooting hardware alarms with Servers and network devices, cabling issues, and basic power connectivity. This team provides customer service and face-to-face customer interaction.

Top Skills Details:

1) Experience installing network and server hardware; ideally in the datacenter. If it has been in a server room or IDF, that will be ok.

2) Experience with physical layer networking such as cabling with cat 5 and cat 6, all pre-terminated cables. Checking and testing exp. is what is required.

3) Experience working with a ticketing system software tool for documentation, pc literacy, and communication is also a key part of the role.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Great communication and ability to work within a team. Must have great customer service and be able to self-manage. Our client really focuses on not just the technical ability, but the ability to speak to Customers and internal employees.

Candidates need to be very sharp because they will be interacting with customers on a daily basis while tours take place within the Supernap Data Centers.

Also must have the type of attitude that nothing is beneath them and take pride in working for our clients. ie: If they see a piece of trash on the floor, they pick it up and don't walk by it. If someone has a "not my job" type of attitude, they will not be the right type of person.
