At William Hill we’re building multi-platform sports betting and digital casino products for the booming U.S. sports betting industry. Our Product Technology team has built a single app, multi-state platform that supports legal sports betting in 7 U.S. states and counting, and as our product continues to reach scale, we need to grow our organization and its processes so that our team can continue to efficiently deliver.
As the Product Operations Lead you will:
Track, lead, and provide progress updates on key operational improvement initiatives in the department.
Define processes where none exist.
Propose organizational improvement initiatives that complement the Agile process.
Be a leader within your requirements area, delivering the organizational vision.
Oversee the project portfolio for your requirements area.
Ensure that delivery is aligned to business targets and the technical roadmap.
Improve the efficiency of the software delivery process.
Manage relationships with key technology vendors.
Own the Capex/Opex reporting for your requirements area.
Track the hiring process for open roles within your requirements area.
Track and report on the progress of the team’s quarterly OKRs; course correct when necessary.
Create and track KPIs to measure the success of the team’s processes.
Act as an escalation point within your requirements area, working with technical and non-technical stakeholders to identify and agree to options that resolve issues within a project.
What you will need:
10+ years of technology management, program management, product management experience within a technology organization
Detailed knowledge of IT delivery processes and approaches in use across the market, i.e. Agile, Scaled Agile, LeSS
Experience leading large, cross functional programs or initiatives
Experience in process management and process improvement, specifically within a Product Organization
Ability to build trusting relationships with your colleagues
Lead without hierarchy; you are a go-to person in the organization and must be able to lead through influence
Strong customer focus recognizing internal and external customers, demonstrating a thorough understanding of customer needs
Ability to focus on strategic goals and objectives while dealing with operational issues
