Summary:

A Global Payments Gaming Services (GPGS) Program/Project Manager serves as the primary PMO point of contact and is accountable for the delivery of products and associated projects within their portfolio of assignments.Key services provided include, being a Servant Leader to facilitate successful interaction across internal and external teams to sustainable deliver value for ideation to commercialization / operationalization. A GPGS Program/Project managers will manage and lead enterprise-wide, cross-functional strategic initiatives and are typically assigned to large-scale, high impact projects with moderate to high risk and complexity. They have direct responsibility into stakeholder engagement, project roadmap/key deliverables, ownership of schedule and accountability on project finances.A GPGS Program/Project Manager identifies and manages their own daily / weekly activities with accountability to the Gaming Director of Program Management. Their activities are tied to the compliant execution of Global Payments Delivery Standards, and in synchronization with the supporting teams.

Job Details:

Responsibilities:

  • Build, lead and coach multiple project teams throughout project life cycles

  • Engage and support all phases of the project life cycle for large-scale, complex initiatives that may involve multiple internal and external stakeholders; also may be managing multiple small-medium- large projects concurrently

  • Ensure all projects adhere to the PMO framework and project methodology compliance standards set by the company

  • Ensures that projects adhere to the Security Software Delivery Life Cycle (S-SDLC) and facilitate teams across tollgates, to ensure coordinated release efforts.

  • When appropriate develop a project charter, integrated project plan, resource plan, contingency plan, and related project management artifacts

  • Analyze prior projects to determine resource requirements, timeline and likely outcomes for similar project initiatives

  • Work closely with team members to develop Work Breakdown Structures and estimating the time required to complete individual tasks in order to produce and maintain the project schedule

  • Define and track project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall and integrated delivery plan. Analyze time and cost variances against a plan and communicate project status and issues to the PMO and other stakeholders. Communicate delays in critical path tasks appropriately

  • Work with both waterfall and agile related project delivery methodologies interchangeably

  • Assess and provide risk identification, mitigation or risk avoidance strategies and other solutions for on-time project delivery. Resolve all high priority project risks as they are encountered

  • Forecast accurate schedule and budget estimates while managing scope creep to ensure all projects meet success parameters and ROI targets stated in the business case

  • Validate financial forecasts and provide on-going reconciliation of resources and other related project expenditures

  • Assist, share learning, and mentor others within the PMO regarding standards, organizational understanding, and relationship building to promote the successful delivery of projects

  • Travel at times may be required (primarily to Las Vegas or Atlanta)

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing software related projects and teams

  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines

  • Ability to perform as a change agent to promote adherence to S-SDLC and PMO processes, across both Agile or Waterfall Framework

  • Ability to follow all company policies and procedures, including the PMO Framework to ensure consistency in project management

  • Strong planning, organizational, and leadership skills, including the ability to mobilize and motivate teams, set direction and approach, resolve conflict, deliver tough messages with grace and execute with limited information and ambiguity

  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills, including the ability to navigate in a highly matrixed organization effectively

  • Ability to investigate and assess issues and accurately estimate budget and schedule requirements to avoid scope creep

  • Must be self-disciplined, goal-oriented, action-focused and organized, with excellent project planning, team motivation, delegation, interpersonal, leadership, and mentoring skills

  • Focused and versatile team player who is comfortable under pressure, ambiguity, frequent change, or unpredictability

  • Experience leading systems integration projects that span multiple departments or divisions

Education

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline required

  • 3-6 years of project management experience in managing projects

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM®) desirable

  • Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification or Project Management Certificate desirable

Experience Required

  • Demonstrated, applied experience establishing and delivering complex projects

  • Extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies and tools

  • Experienced in working with stakeholder to manage their expectations and engaging them to address project issues

  • Manage career growth by completing appropriate continuing education courses to remain abreast of changing technologies and project management tools and techniques

Desirable Experience (not required)

  • Experience with project management methodologies including Waterfall, Agile, Scrum and/or Scaled Agile Framework

  • Project Basic knowledge of Electronic Payments industry, PCI, products, and technologies to intelligently discuss and understand relevant impacts to the projects is preferred but not mandatory

  • Experience with Google Suite, Rally Agile Central, ChangePoint

  • Experience in the financial services and/or gaming, casino industry desirable
