Robert Half's Salaried Professionals Division is looking for a talented Staff Accountant. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and preparing various financial reports.   • Work with internal and external auditors to coordinate quarterly reviews and SOX testing

  • Participate in various initiatives spanning multiple departments

  • Put together Balance Sheet account reconciliations

  • Other projects as necessary

  • Ready monthly consolidated P L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

  • Operate with business partners to create compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests

  • Continually improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

  • Administer monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

  • Review financial results (benchmarks, trends, performance metrics)

  • Proficiency with various accounting software applications

  • Ability to meet business deadlines

  • BA/BS in Accounting

  • Ability to work well with functional department managers

  • SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience

  • Proficient at analyzing financial data and promptly creating accurate reports

  • Strong time management and organizational skills

  • Background working with financial reconciliation

  • Financial reporting

  • Comprehension of US GAAP

  • Account analysis experience

  • Good understanding of financial statement preparation

  • General familiarity with budgeting

  • Financial analysis experience highly preferred

  • Practical knowledge of budget forecasting

  • Foundational knowledge in accruals

  • Solid understanding of account reconciliation

  • Demonstrated knowledge of bank reconciliations

  • General ledger experience highly valued

  • Expertise in accounting policy

  • Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus

  • Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision

  • Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail
