It is the primary responsibility of the Security Supervisor to provide leadership for the Security Officers on their shifts. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and MGM Grand’s, policies, practices, and procedures.
Supervises assigned operational functions within the department consistent with the strategic plan, the fiscal budget, and the company’s short term and long-term profitability objectives.
Supervises the delivery and measurement of guest service consistent with the company’s core service standards and brand attributes.
Assists the Shift Supervisor and Shift Manager with supervising the activities of the Officers, and implementing mandates as delegated by the Vice President of Security in accordance with the directives of the S.O.P. Manual.
Supervises the “pit drop”; making sure that all boxes are placed properly, accounted for and verified in accordance with Security Department policy.
Ensures that all areas of the hotel and casino are properly covered and that all Assistant Supervisors and Security Officers are at their assigned posts.
Patrols the property in a Security Vehicle when necessary to ensure the smooth movement of traffic on property.
Any and all duties as directed by the Shift Manager Completes annual evaluations for subordinates on their assigned shifts.
Any and all duties as directed by the Shift Manager.
Perform all other job related duties as requested.
At least 1 year of security experience.
Current with all training, included but not limited to CPR/AED and First Aid.
Able to lead and mentor a team.
Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook.
Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
