Your daily responsibilities include


The Talent Acquisition Recruiter is responsible for sourcing talent by using creative and cost-effective means of generating high quality candidates for Talent Acquisition Shared Services (TA SS). This role is also responsible for the execution of talent acquisition strategy and processes for the TA SS department.


The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • Partners with Manager Talent Acquisition to meet the needs of properties within the Talent Acquisition Shared Services business unit.

  • Maintains and supports the internal and external recruitment efforts for Talent Acquisition Shared Services.

  • Manages open job requisitions in iCims for non-exempt professional and exempt roles. May manage other open requisitions as needed.

  • Reviews all resumes and applications for non-exempt professional and exempt positions. May assist with other roles as needed.

  • Utilizes sourcing tools to their fullest potentials to expand talent pipelines for open roles.

  • Meets established KPI (key performance indicators) and goals assigned by Manager.

  • Pre-screens potential candidates and develops diverse talent pool for non-exempt professional/skilled roles and exempt positions. May assist with other roles as needed.

  • Develops, implements, and executes sourcing strategies for open roles. Makes recommendations to Manager to improve strategies.

  • Creates job offers and negotiates offers

  • Assists in establishes and managing creative recruitment strategies and programs to address key staffing needs included but not limited to the LEAP (Leadership Excellence at Penn) Program.

  • Manages phone interview schedules, schedules onsite interviews, and assess candidates according to hiring criteria. Determines which non-exempt professionals/skilled candidates are sent for property interviews.

  • Ensures all background information complies with PNG standards for all hires.

  • Sources, screens and interviews candidates to fill existing and future job openings through visits to college campuses, consultation with agencies, and contacts within the industry and larger community.

  • Partners with Manager Talent Acquisition to determine strategy and resources for open positions.

  • Consults with management on all performance related issues and concerns.

  • Consistently demonstrates excellent communication skills.

  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.

  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.

  • Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.

To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) in Human Resources or related field from four-year college or university; and 4 or more years of professional level recruitment for properties/offices in various US locations.

  • Prior corporate recruiting experience in the gamining industry. One year required.

  • Candidates with AIRS certification(s) preferred.

  • Must have strong problem solving, organizational, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).

  • Must have excellent project and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.

  • Must have technical proficiency and knowledge in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

  • Must have technical knowledge in building sourcing strategies using a variety of means including cold calling, leveraging competitive resources, networking, and data mining Internet tools, web sites and social networking.

  • Must have current knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends, current practices, new developments and applicable laws regarding Human Resources issues.

  • Must have experience with implementing and maximizing applicant tracking system—iCims. This involves understanding business needs and ensuring the system supports the needs, as well as ensuring end users and hiring managers are properly trained.

  • Strong client interface and presentation skills preferred.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

  • Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

  • Must have the ability to be proactive when working on tasks.

  • Must have thorough knowledge of all employment related laws including Civil Rights, EEO, ADA, FLSA, State Racing and Gaming Commission.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
