Mission Support and Test Services, LLC Facility Manager (Prin Facilities Specialist) in Mercury, Nevada
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent training and experience with at least 8 years relevant, progressively responsible experience
A strong preference for degreed candidates in Mechanical Engineering or Facility Management.
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills to interact with facility tenants, federal oversight personnel, senior management, supporting organizations, external customers, vendors, and visitors.
Knowledge of building systems and supporting processes to ensure safe and efficient operations
Must be able to deal effectively with conflicting deadlines.
Demonstrated leadership qualities with emphasis on continuous improvement and team building.
Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint is desired).
Must be able to respond to emergency facility issues 24/7.
Physical Requirements include; ability to stand, sit and walk for prolonged periods of time. Must have the ability to climb, crouch and reach.
Must hold a valid drivers’ license.
Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
Department of Energy Q Clearance (position will be cleared to this level). Reviews and tests for the absence of any illegal drug as defined in 10 CFR Part 707.4, “Workplace Substance Abuse Programs at DOE Sites,” will be conducted. Applicant selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation, and subsequent reinvestigations, and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified matter. Successful completion of a counterintelligence evaluation, which may include a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination, may also be required. Reference 10 CFR Part 709, “Counterintelligence Evaluation Program.”
Eligibility Requirements – To obtain a clearance, an individual must be a U.S. citizen at least 18 years of age. Reference DOE Order 472.2, “Personnel Security.”

Position represents the Facilities Management Department and reports directly to the Facility Managers Department Manager.
Provide the management function (as Facility Manager) for selected facilities located at the Nevada National Security Site or North Las Vegas Complex.
Assigned facilities may include one or more of the following types of facilities: administrative, industrial, radiological, balance of plant real estate, and emergency response training venues.
The Facility Manager is the principal contact for the day-to-day facility operations.

deconfliction of all work activities conducted within the boundaries of the facility and infrastructure
asset planning and stewardship
Must qualify to each individual facility as the Facility Manager, and numerous other facilities as Alternate FM.
Manages the maintenance and operating budget for all facilities in portfolio.
Creates the strategic plan for facilities, planning and managing the fiscal targets and schedules.
Must create and revise work authorization documents, and conduct management self-assessments.
Responsible for writing the Asset Management Plan for area facilities.
Accept individual responsibility and accountability for environment, safety, health, and quality processes within personal control, personal safety, and the safety of co-workers.
Comply with established regulations and procedures for environment, safety, health, and quality and perform duties in a way that will not cause personal danger, endanger other individuals, or violate environment, safety, health, and quality regulations.
Promptly correct or report any hazard or potential hazard to supervision.
Understand the principles associated with the Mission Support & Test Services (MSTS) safety concept. Participate in and embrace MSTS environment, safety, health, and quality initiatives.
