Mesa View Medical Group is hiring a new Certified Medical Assistant. The CMA will work as part of the clinic and assist the Physician, Nurse Practitioner and-or Physician Assistant (Provider) in the provision of health care. This is a full time position with benefits. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Greet patients and answer phone calls in a courteous and professional manner. • Answer patient questions and work with providers for complete patient care. • Ensure patient confidentiality. • Provide patients with needed information including provider's orders and medication information. • Prepare medical charts, update Electronic Health Record (EHR), and maintain smooth patient flow. • Check lab reports daily and follow up when required. • Scan outside reports, send referrals, and report results to providers. • Gather patient information using an encounter form. • Identify chief complaints, take vitals, and obtain a medical history of patients before they are seen by the provider. • Prep exam rooms for providers and make sure they are clean for the next day. • Work with other clinic staff to provide efficient patient care. • Organize and file documents. • Perform procedures (lab draws, rapid strep tests, urine pregnancy, hemocult, injections, ear irrigations, UA, EKGs, and others tasks) as per care provider's orders. • Prepare specimens for transport. • Routinely check all equipment to ensure proper working order. • Attend all staff meetings and trainings. • Keep all certifications current. Requirements: • High School Diploma. • Current certification to practice as a Medical Assistant. • Must read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals. • Must respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers-patients, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
