We are seeking a talented individual for a Clinical Performance Analyst I who is responsible for performing claim selections and planning and conducting analysis of healthcare data and in support of the HMS Mission, Vision, Key Quality Strategies, and Values.
Perform claim selection process
Set up process for monitoring, tracking and trending information and data using various systems or applications.
Prepare well-organized, easily understood reports, analysis, and summary of findings for use by management.
Assist in preparation of regularly produced reports to support decision-making.
Research and analyze report results identifying opportunities and trends.
Support management and other team members as requested on all things data related.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proficient with SQL programming to both read and write complex SQL queries
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
Experience with Data analysis software: SAS, R, Python, etc. preferred
Experience with Data Visualization/Reporting tool like Tableau preferred
Ability to tell the story behind the numbers.
Ability to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to in a self-guided manner and in an interdisciplinary team environment effectively.
Ability to use interpersonal skills with customer-service orientation.
Ability to be careful, thorough and detail oriented.
Ability to function under pressure and meet deadline oriented project demands as well as manage multiple initiatives.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Ability to organize well.
Ability to work independently to meet objectives.
Work Conditions and Physical Demands:
Primarily sedentary work in a general office environment
Ability to communicate and exchange information
Ability to comprehend and interpret documents and data
Requires manual dexterity to use computer, telephone and peripherals
May be required to work extended hours for special business needs
May be required to travel at least 5% of time based on business needs
- MS/BS in Mathematics, Statistics or related field and/or equivalent experience
