The Accounting Intern will help support Manufacturing Operations in Reno by performing regular reviews of production variances and analyzing trends in production costs. This role will gain experience in all aspects of Financial Planning and Analysis as well as Management Accounting, and Business Intelligence tools.
Primary Functions:
Review and research exception production results for causes of variances and trends.
Generate various Month-End accounting journal entries.
Review and approve purchase requisitions.
Help manage cost data integrity.
Ad-hoc reviews and research projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Must be enrolled and pursuing a BS Degree in Accounting, Information Systems, or Finance in Reno, NV.
This is a year around internship and you must be able to work part-time (20 hours approx.) Monday through Friday. (We will adjust working hours to work with Academic Schedule.
Completed ACC 201 (Financial Accounting) and ACC 202 (Managerial Accounting).
High competency with Excel.
The ability to maintain the confidentiality of financial data and results.
The ability to work harmoniously within the Finance Department and with multiple departments within the company.
