Responsible for directing a team of IT Auditors assembled for IT specific audit engagements, including IT risk assessments, security reviews, pre- and post-implementation reviews, IT general control reviews and other related reviews. Directs activities that are designed to evaluate and mitigate financial, operational and IT risks, compliance with state contracts, laws and regulations, and efficiency and effectiveness of operations. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Schedules, prepares, performs, and reports on the functions of assigned team members. Oversees IT Audit functions and management. Ensures comprehensive IT Audit coverage throughout areas of responsibility. Assists in strategic audit planning and development of IT Audit policies and guidelines. Supports preparation of materials for senior management and Audit Committee meetings. Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports. Requires a BS in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or MIS; 10+ years IT Audit experience, including 3+ years of management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. MS preferred.

Responsible for directing a team of IT Auditors assembled for IT specific audit engagements, including IT risk assessments, security reviews, pre- and post-implementation reviews, IT general control reviews and other related reviews. Directs activities that are designed to evaluate and mitigate financial, operational and IT risks, compliance with state contracts, laws and regulations, and efficiency and effectiveness of operations. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide leadership to the IT Auditors by:

  • Performing risk assessments and developing the Master Audit Plan (MAP) for IT related audits.

  • Scheduling IT audit staff

  • Overseeing IT audits ensuring high quality scope, execution, and reporting in a timely manner and within budgeted hours

  • Attending key client meetings and walkthroughs with emphasis on IT opportunities

  • Manages follow up activities for issues identified during audit process

  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports

  • Collaborates and helps establish common goals and direction for the team

  • Establishes and maintains advanced knowledged of IT capabilities

  • Provides IT related advice to operational audits

  • Supports preparation of materials for senior management and Audit Committee meetings

  • Builds collaborative relationships with IT management

Qualifications:

Requires a BS in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or MIS; 10+ years IT Audit experience, including 3+ years of management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. MS preferred.
