BCD Travel Director, Global Program Optimization in Reno, Nevada

Director Global Program OptimizationFulltime, homebased in the US

We're BCD Travel, one of the world's leading corporate travel management companies with offices around the globe. We help our clients travel smart and achieve more. In this role you retain a portfolio of large-market or multi-national accounts and identify expansion opportunities within the existing client base. In this highly visible position, you partner with our commercial and program management teams and senior stakeholders to build and deploy customized approaches in support of our existing customers.

This is what you do

  • Proactively engage with business owners regarding the status of our client partnerships and assisting in renewal and bid avoidance strategies throughout the lifecycle of an account

  • Identify opportunities for clients to consolidate and expand their travel program with BCD

  • Work with commercial teams and clients to promote the value of our partnerships and look to renew agreements prior to the clients taking their programs to bid

  • Develop avoidance strategies and make recommendations with business leaders on optimizing the value we bring to clients and act as internal consultant to the business and clients alike

  • Work and communicate with Global, Regional and Local Sales owners to create client retention and expansion plans

  • Facilitate project management for entire retention process including document management, repricing and presentations

  • Look for opportunities to leverage existing data and information to uncover emergent data and trends to improve client retention

  • Help drive program profitability by optimizing programs by retaining and expanding client partnerships

  • Participate in sales presentations to successfully retain and expand customer contracts

This is who you are

  • 5+ years business travel industry experience

  • Business development, program management and/or consulting experience preferred

  • Thorough knowledge of business travel management and supplier landscape

  • Knowledge of travel industry technology and solutions

  • Effective oral, written, and presentation communication skills

  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally when needed

  • An inquisitive problem solver motivated by uncovering problems and implementing solutions
