The purpose of this position is to support the IGT Global Compliance Team. The Global Compliance Team is an integral part of IGT and this analyst will play a vital role in maintaining import/export compliance and supporting cost savings activities globally by determining import and/or export classifications, country of origin, trade, eligibility and Restricted Party Screening analysis, amongst other tasks.

Key responsibilities include assigning import and/or export classifications and making updates based on revisions to the classification lists or eligibility requirements, documenting the rationale for such determination, determining eligibility for trade preference programs via a global trade software platform, and reviewing Restricted Party Screening matches and false positives via a global trade software platform.

First Year Goals

•Analyze products and assign import/export classification according to tariff and export control lists

•Analyze products and assign classification according to OGA lists, where necessary

•Document rationale for classification determinations, and retain technical information or any other supporting data used in making the determination

•Assist in submission of requests for classification advice or determinations to respective government agencies

•Analyze products to determine eligibility for duty preference under Free Trade Agreements or Special Trade Programs via a global trade software platform

•Document rationale for eligibility determinations, and retain technical information or any other supporting data used in making the determination

•Assist in creation and maintenance of trade preference certificates and documentation whether received or issued and maintain in accordance with local law of IGT recordkeeping policy

•Review Restricted Party Lists screening results and determine their legal status and match via a global trade software platform

Required Qualifications

•Proficient in English

•Strong communications skills

•Proactive, responsive and well organized

•BA or Equivalent Degree Required

•Minimum of 1 year of experience working in international logistics, import compliance or export compliance

•Experience with global trade software platforms (Preferred but not required)

•Research skills and technical knowledge related to classification, duty preference programs and restricted party listing (Preferred)

•Customs Broker License (Preferred but not required)
