NH Learning Group Marketing Content Development Specialist in Reno, Nevada
The Content Development Specialist develops and manages content in support of company initiatives, internal/external communications and all marketing deliverables and mediums by applying advanced written communication skills, utilizing content management systems, and creating meaningful messaging in order to deliver a broad range of products ultimately impacting revenue generation and corporate branding.
Duties and responsibilities:
Build and manage a rich content/editorial calendar that attracts a qualified audience (including blog posts, social media content, landing pages, whitepapers, ebooks, webinars, infographics, etc.)
Grow our subscriber base by providing them regular, helpful content that’s in-tune with their needs
Create content regularly to grow the Company’s footprint (press releases, corporate announcements, award submission and announcements, and creative content)
Connect with influential media outlets and journalists to place stories about company news and initiatives
Grow new leads, including marketing-qualified leads, by converting site traffic through calls-to-action, landing pages, and lead generation content (including offers)
Optimize our marketing automation and lead nurturing processes through email, content, and social channels
Establish closed-loop analytics with sales to understand how our inbound marketing activity turns into customers, and continually refine our process to convert customers
Write various types of content, including white papers/presentations, survey narratives; marketing plans, brochure copy, advertising copy, Web site content and copy for sales materials; e-mail and other campaign copy, editorial-style articles and newsletter copy; blogs, personal profiles, speeches, video and radio scripts and Intranet copy.
Develop new content, edit others’ work and refresh content across multiple channels.
Drive content strategy, high-quality, and high-touch materials, with proper tone, messaging and effectiveness, providing value for the Company’s brand & core messages.
Update content in content management systems. Must have experience and comfort with use of content management systems.
Ensure Web sites maintain a high level of quality and professionalism emphasizing style, efficiency and maintainability and that Internet sites comply with corporate messaging and communications standards.
Familiarity with search engine optimization, including keyword strategy, key term discovery and optimized content development.
Identify and escalate potential process streamlines in order to increase business results
Communicates process improvement opportunities to department leadership
Conducts regular audits to ensure content accuracy and user experience and coordinates with content managers to make updates.
Troubleshoots content management tools, resolves technical issues autonomously and escalates to support team as needed.
Trains associates to use the enterprise CMS and sets best practices/workflow for the team.
Provides consultancy on new page layout, new page/template design and tool integrations.
Collaborates with internal and external product manager teams to support content integration with proprietary back-end systems and from third-party providers.
Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
Any other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Must have demonstrated work experience or training in communications, content development, marketing or similar field.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Graphics (Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, PhotoShop, etc.).
Proficient with Marketing Automation Toops, HubSpot Preferred.
Excels at research, possesses excellent writing skills and the ability to crank out editorial and technical written material.
Ability to effectively work under tight deadlines and manage projects independently.
Understands social media universe.
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to work individually on a project or in a team environment.
Experience sourcing and managing content development and publishing.
Eager to meet and exceed objectives and take on more responsibility.
Brings to the position outstanding organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Ability to communicate results to management and in a fast paced environment.
Strong team player - collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources; has experience working with others on a global basis; applies knowledge to coach and mentor others.
Strong analytical and strong problem solving skills - communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information/data to make decisions.
Education and experience:Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required. Preferred majors: Advertising, Marketing, Graphics, Communications, Journalism or English or related field.
