Come join VMware’s new and exciting Modern Applications Business Unit (MAPBU) team, made up of products and services under the Tanzu portfolio to help customers build, run and manage their most important applications. We build applications with velocity to run in a cloud-native environment, run open-source Kubernetes with consistency, and manage our customers' entire footprint with confidence to help them achieve their business outcomes.
The product GTM specialist position will be responsible for strategic and operational functions that drive adoption for Tanzu’s developer-focused products. This includes pricing and packaging, monetization, routes to market priority, and consumption metric.
Roles and Responsibilities
Identify and prioritize new routes to markets, and functional integration requirements.
Own pricing and packaging function for existing and future developer-focused offerings - drive all primary and secondary market research to support key decisions.
Create monetization plan for a profitable and scalable subscription business.
Improve the end to end digital customer experience, including trials, conversations, consumption, and value expansion.
Data driven and highly analytical approach to measure product sales, pricing, discounts and business metrics to reflect performance and plan for continuous improvements
Engage directly with the field sales and customer success teams on strategic deal structuring and scale/efficiency improvement programs.
Deep understanding of operational workflows and ability to partner with Finance, Legal, Revenue, IT, Back-office, Sales and Operations; for driving implementation.
10+ years of experience in Information Technology, with at least 5 years with product management or strategic operations.
Must have prior experience with developer tools, products, or ecosystems.
Deep understanding of operational workflows and skilled at driving self service and automation.
Quantitative skills necessary to extract insights from large volumes of data, coupled with qualitative skills to drive actions with incomplete information..
Ability to communicate to executive level and large audiences with compelling, clear, logical and data driven arguments.
Intellectual curiosity & willingness to take ownership of deliverables.
Engineering or equivalent, MBA preferred.

For positions located in Colorado: The base salary range is $74,000-$218,000. Bonus, commission, and/or equity may be eligible for this position.
