Chrysalis RBT Residential Home in Reno, Nevada

The RBT implements intensive intervention in the form of instructional programs, teaching adaptive living skills, and implementing behavior interventions as directed by the Behavior Analyst. Moreover, the RBT collects data, summarizes the client’s progress and maintains communication with the Behavior Analyst, Associate Director, and manager regarding the client’s needs.


The RBT is appointed by and derives his/her authority from the people Chrysalis supports, the Area Behavior Analysts, the Area Associate Director, the Clinical Director, and the Area Director.



Minimum of least 18 years old
Pass a criminal background check and pass a drug test
Possess the ability to speak, read and write effectively in English
Have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license

Experience or Education:

High school diploma or GED minimum
Completion of at least one college level course in a related field (e.g., Psychology, Special Education)

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Understand state policies and the Provider Code of Conduct, as well as Chrysalis' policy on Abuse, Neglect, Exploitation and Maltreatment
Able to follow behavior interventions and skill-acquisition procedures with consistency and accuracy
Demonstrate good judgment and ability to handle difficult situations
Have excellent interpersonal skills working with the client and co-workers
Able to effectively communicate with coworkers and supervisors

Training and Certifications:

Complete 20+ hours of pre-service training on autism spectrum disorders, autism skill training, Behavior Support Plans, data collection and working with families
Complete annual CPR, First Aid, and OSHA training (All Employees)
Obtain and maintain SOAR certification (All Employees)
Obtain and maintain Food Handler's Permit (Utah employees only)
Complete T.B. test (Utah employees)


Serve as an official representative of Chrysalis and market a positive image
Follow the Provider Code of Conduct
Other duties as assigned by Clinical Director, Behavior Analyst, and/or Area Director
