Sales Specialist, Sample Storage and Tracking - Greater San Francisco area

The Sales Specialist, Sample Storage and Tracking role is part of the Laboratory Products Division (LPD) which unites deep scientific expertise, a collaborative culture and rich resources to deliver the lab equipment and storage consumables that our customers need to achieve their scientific goals - quickly, reliably and safely. Our smart lab solutions make it faster and easier for our customers to focus on what matters most - delivering answers and innovations that save and improve lives.

Based remotely in the San Francisco area with accounts in Northern CA, Northern Nevada and Hawaii.

How will you make an impact?

  • Drive revenue growth for the storage and tracking product segment that has a higher than average market potential in an assigned geographic territory.

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the business unit and commercial teams in order to best position the future vitality of the storage and portfolio.

  • Act as a liaison between the Business Units and the field selling team. Communicate new and pertinent information and updates from the business unit to the field selling team (new products, features, differentiators, competitive information, etc.).

  • Drive sales to achieve your annual goals

  • Develop business plans, manage large opportunities and maintain relationships with key customers

  • Provide field demonstration, sales and training support on current and future storage and tracking products.

  • Conduct technical seminars on a regular basis.

  • Products you'll be responsible for selling are Thermo Fisher Scientific laboratory Cold Storage portfolio, remote monitoring, sample storage consumables

How will you get here?

  • Bachelor's Degree; a scientific focus such as Biology, or Chemistry or related field preferred or proven industry experience

  • Have a minimum of 5 years of relevant sales experience within a laboratory environment.

  • Experience working in a laboratory with technical instruments preferred, prior experience selling lab equipment strongly preferred.

  • Experience in delivering effective technical presentations to scientific researchers and executive level stakeholders.

  • Ability to work in a team atmosphere and influence others to achieve results.
