ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * _ Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:_*

  • Believe and demonstrate the GSR Vision and Mission Statement.
  • Assist Security Shift Manager/Supervisor with daily duties
  • Pass on information from Manager/Supervisor to Officer
  • Check Officer reports before turning them into the Shift Manager/Supervisor
  • Make sure all pertinent information is attached to the report
  • Photos necessary for the report are attached
  • Statements needed are attached to the report
  • Manage the shift when the Shift Manager/Supervisor is on days off or vacation
  • Document disciplinary actions following departmental and company policies (Progressive Discipline)
  • Conduct daily shift briefings
  • Pass on information to Officers
  • Hear comments and complaints from Officers
  • Pass on information to the incoming Shift Manager/Supervisor/Lead so they may in turn pass it on to their Officers
  • Prepare a daily shift pass on
  • Must contain information that will go to the Executives
  • This log will document all reports that occur on your shift
  • Conduct property patrols to verify that Policies and Procedures are being followed
  • Exterior:
  • Look for damage to property or vehicles (Both Company and Guests property)
  • Look for anything that JDLR (Just doesn’t look right)
  • Make sure that Officers are conducting themselves in a professional manner
  • Verify that outside Officers are completing tasks as assigned completely and in a timely manner
  • Interior:
  • Look for damage to property or vehicles (Both Company and Guests property)
  • Look for anything that JDLR (Just doesn’t look right)
  • Make sure that Officers are conducting themselves in a professional manner
  • Verify that inside Officers are completing tasks as assigned completely and in a timely manner
  • Make sure that all Officers are in their designated sections and posts
  • ANY other duties as assigned by Management and/or Dispatchers
  • Education-high school diploma or GED required
  • Licenses: Alcohol awareness card, Gaming Control Board Registration, CPR Card
  • Conduct Training Courses for all Security Officers
  • Guest Service
  • Report Writing
  • Defensive Tactics
  • Maintain Department and Officer Training Records
  • E-mail daily trainee pass on to Department Trainer, Shift Manager/Supervisor/Lead

May reach with hands and arms above shoulder level; bend/stoop, squat, balance, kneel, lift and push/pull. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance visions, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
