ROLE SUMMARY
The Senior Director, Launch Navigation Group, Pfizer Biopharmaceuticals Group, is a key leader in a senior team focused on elevating our launch excellence as we strive to bring forward a robust pipeline of medicines and vaccines to deliver on our purpose, breakthroughs that change patients' lives.

The colleague has the opportunity to collaborate to create an enhanced launch model, integrate it within the organizational construct and ways of working, and embed it with brand launch teams. The Senior Director will lead the creation of specific elements of the launch model, develop smart methods and tools to accelerate implementation, and partner with specific senior launch leaders to apply the model in the development of strategic and operational plans that enable our medicines and vaccines to appropriately reach patients and customers worldwide who can benefit.

The position offers unique enterprise-wide leadership opportunity with a cross-functional scope, across business units, disease areas, and geographies. The position reports to the Biopharmaceuticals Group's Vice President, Senior Launch Navigator.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Build elements of the launch model and the standards for implementation and application
Advise and partner with specific launch teams in advancing through launch planning stage gates; lead one of four Brand Launch Navigator (launch leads) forums to elevate and speed launch quality and decision-making
Lead the development of the training platform for the launch model in collaboration with Launch Navigation Group partners
Strengthen Pfizer's launch type planning guidance, including unique launch planning needs at key country level and accelerated launch readiness
Create and implement launch plan strengtheners for common milestones to elevate readiness, anticipate challenges, support prioritization, and unearth innovation
Design ready-methods to enable collaboration with customers to develop specific launch plan elements
Support the development and application of the launch operations model and launch metrics setting and assessment

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
BA/BS degree required. Advanced degree preferred
15+ years of pharmaceutical experience including experience in country and above-country roles involved in commercialization planning
Demonstrated leadership in planning and executing launches with strong understanding of the process from early to late development, launch and inline brand management
Track record acting as counsel & advisor to peers and leaders, effective influencer to set ambitious goals and deliver results; success building a network and establishing trust; demonstrated high emotional intelligence
Proven self-starter who is comfortable working in ambiguous situations, making tradeoffs, and segmenting work to deliver quality at pace
Significant program/project management experience with demonstrated experiences driving organizational solutions and change; management consulting experience beneficial
Demonstrated strong critical thinking skills: ability to derive insights and identify and measure performance indicators
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with success engaging in dialogue and representing recommendations with senior leaders
Ability to work across time zones in virtual and face-to-face settings
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
10-15% travel (anticipated in new normal)
