KGHM International RNMC Contract Administrator in Ruth, Nevada

The Contracts Administrator is responsible for full cycle contract administration including contract preparation, ongoing communication with all stakeholders including third parties, negotiating contract terms and conditions, execution of contracts and subsequent contract audits. The Contracts Administrator is responsible for maintaining and managing Terms and Conditions of all contracts. This position is responsible for managing the contract database and all associated files. This position is responsible for contracts for construction projects, technical and professional services, and tangible goods. When required, this position will act as a liaison with legal representation for commercial and contractual legal issues. The incumbent will also provide backup support for various positions within Supply Chain and general day to day support for the site.


Previous Related Work Experience Required:Minimum 8 years of contractual management experience preferably in the mining industry Education Required:A Bachelor’s degree in business management or similarAn MBA would be beneficial Special Skills and/or Knowledge RequiredConsiderable knowledge of Federal, State, and local laws pertaining to purchasing, contracts, and contract complianceConsiderable knowledge of the methods, practices, and techniques of contract negotiationAbility to interpret contract requirementsAbility to negotiate pricing on large-scale contractsAbility to review and interpret insurance policies and/or certificates of insuranceProficient knowledge of legal terms and vernacularStrong reading, writing, and communication skillsStrong math skillsStrong problem solving, conflict management, and negotiating skills Special Equipment/Computer Knowledge RequiredProficient with the core of the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Experience with JDEdwards, and other enterprise level reporting tools would be beneficial


Coordinate with representatives from other departments, Project Management team, contractors, and vendors to prepare, analyze, and administer leases, agreements, and contracts for Robinson Nevada Mining Company. Prepare and oversee all RFPs and selections for all Robinson Nevada Mining Company services. Oversee and supervise selection committee to ensure that selection is in accordance with established policies and procedures.Negotiate all contract terms and conditions. Administer and facilitate the Company’s contract audit procedures.Ensure compliance with KGHM policies and procedures, legal guidelines, contracting principles, and cost effective constraints.Serve as point of contact on Company contractual and legal matters. Act as Company liaison with legal representation for potential litigation issues. Prepare and distribute reports to facilitate planning and maintenance of accurate contract records and files. Coordinate with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations on sourcing strategies, practices and procedures. Develop and maintain terms and conditions for purchasing agreements and contracts. Recommend modifications to accommodate regulatory, legislative, industry or KGHMI Policy & Procedure changes. Provide documentation and interpretation of contractual rights and obligations internally and externally, ensure that due diligence is practiced in complying with the stated terms and conditions.Provide back up support to various Supply Chain functions. Coordinate with BROWZ to maintain required contractor insurance.
