ArcBest Warehouse Worker - Sparks, NV in Sparks, Nevada

Currently we are looking for a Warehouse Worker to join the ArcBest Dedicated Team. The Warehouse Worker loads, unloads, and moves materials/boxes/cartons, etc. stored in the Warehouse to their proper locations or to the work sites.

Your contributions may include:

  • Reads the work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials and/or cartons to be utilized and/or moved.

  • Load and unload outbound freight.

  • Load and unload household goods shipments by hand.

  • Load and unload materials into or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.

  • Convey materials from storage or work sites to designated areas.

  • Prepares outbound shipments.

  • Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.

  • Locates, checks-in, and unloads inbound shipments.

  • Lifts heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) by hand.

  • Operates industrial truck, order-picker, or forklift to assist in loading or moving materials and products.

  • Cleans work areas, machines, vehicles, trailers, and other equipment to meet company-prescribed standards.

  • Observes all safety rules per the Company safety plan and/or Department of Transportation (FMCSR) regulations.

  • Is fully versed in The Albert Companies’ values system and communicates this effectively to the mover base as well as the departmental employees.

  • Identifies system improvement needs and works to implement them. Works with other personnel, both within and external to the department, to insure designated projects are completed.

As a Warehouse Worker, you will be a member of the ArcBest Dedicated Operations team in Sparks, NV. You will have an 8 hour shift with hours between 7:30am to 7:00pm Monday through Friday, with irregular hours that may occur depending on work load.

1+ years of experience working in the moving industry is a plus. * Basic computer skills.
